‘Baltimore to Ferguson’ Local Church Hosts Panel of Activists

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Local faith groups will learn about what has been observed in Ferguson and Baltimore, as it relates to racial issues, for the one year anniversary of Michael Brown’s death.

Tonight between 5 and 7 o’clock, Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral downtown hold a public dialogue titled “Baltimore to Ferguson”.

“Three activists from Ferguson, three activists from Baltimore talking about the confluence of those two uprising and what what a alike and what was similar,” says Rev, Mike Kinman. “And what are the national aspects of this new civil rights movement.”

Kinman is dean of Christ Church Cathedral. He says this Sunday, they’ll hold a special service of lamentation being very conscious of what he calls, the deep pain and brokenness we have as a city and a nation particularly as it relates to race.
