Sherman had with him Brigadier General August Willich, called by his Communist comrades “the reddest of the red.”

He also had Brigadier General Peter Osterhaus and Colonel Frederick Knefler. All three of these men are profiled in our book Lincoln’s Marxists. Also present in Sherman’s officer corps was Brigadier General John B. Turchin, the European officer who “turned his back” while his command destroyed the town of Athens, Alabama. Can there be any doubt that such men contributed to Sherman’s lust for the destruction of Southern private property—one of the major tenets of Marxism.

That such men would comprise part of Sherman’s command is borne out by Sherman’s own proclivities toward military dictatorship. In his book Citizen Sherman published in 1995, Michael Fellman has noted in several places that Sherman was a proponent of military dictatorship. On pages 59-60 Fellman observed: “His rejection of democracy and his semisecret reactionary faith in a military seizure of power deepened through the secession crisis and into the opening stages of his involvement in the Civil War.”

Back in’52 when I was a brand new Pfc just outta boot camp and having reported in to Marine Barracks, Camp Joseph H. Pendleton, Oceanside, California–yeh, you read it right, MB,O’Side, No Zip Code, etc.–I overheard some old salts arguing over the question as to which was correct…”cocked and locked” and/or “lock and load”.

One side claimed one, the other side claimed the other. Some said that “Lock and Load” became popular with John (Duke) Wayne‘s portrayal of Sgt Stryker in the 1949 “Sands of iwo Jima.”

…..Thus do we see how the period of the Articles of Confederation was not characterized by chaos and increasingly bad economic times, as historians tend to assume.

Rather, the Articles proved themselves to be a perfectly viable structure for a free society, encouraging trade and prosperity and adherence to the highest ideals of 1776.

The driving forces for the creation of the central government with the Constitution involved economic imbalances and debts leftover from the war with Britain.

The federalists, ideologically attached to protectionist and nationalist theories, exploited both real and false fears in the hope of resolving these imbalances, but they ended up by recreating what the founding generation had struggled so hard to overthrow ten years earlier.

The strong central authority they created would in time reproduce every statist feature of the British system—political corruption, perpetual debt, debilitating taxation, consolidated power, and a global empire. Such was not the promise of the Revolution……

Video warns military, too – D.C. lawmakers about to commit ‘treason’

“This is a message to every member of law enforcement and the military,” a sizzling new YouTube video begins. “You know you have a choice to make.”

The video, produced by a man identified on Facebook as Aaron Hawkins, is a challenge to those who enforce America’s laws, warning them the day is coming when gun-control legislation will undermine the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment and police forces will be asked to restrict or even confiscate American citizens’ firearms.

Obama Buries Boston Massacre Saudi Connection

Kris Zane

One Boston Massacre terrorist is dead, under suspicious circumstances. We saw the second terrorist—Dzhokhar Tsarnaev—literally shut down an entire metropolitan area for over twenty-four hours. And now he’s under lock and key, whisked away from the public eye.

How have we come to the point where so many criminals, terrorists and radical leftists from the 1960′s hold so many prominent positions in American academia?

Michael Moynihan of The Daily Beast explains.

How 1960s Radicals Ended Up Teaching Your Kids

Last week, Rutgers University fired its mercurial basketball coach after he was videotaped “shoving, grabbing and throwing balls at players in practice and using gay slurs,” according to ESPN.

Under pressure from school administrators, Rutgers’ athletic director, who had previously defended the coach’s behavior, resigned. It was an appropriate response: violent oafs should be fired from their university jobs for violent, oafish behavior.

On the same day ESPN broadcast the Rutgers tape, The New York Post reported that Kathy Boudin, a professor at Columbia University, was named the 2013 Sheinberg Scholar-in-Residence at NYU Law School. In 1984, Boudin, a member of the Weather Underground, a violent, oafish association of upper-class “revolutionaries,” pled guilty to second-degree murder in association with the infamous 1981 Brinks armored car robbery in Nyack, New York.

Ever wonder where some of the most common of our Marine Corps history came from? Things like the term “Jarhead,” etc.? Most of these things are pretty well known by all Marines.

But, then, there are also numerous cases where our accepted history is just plain inaccurate. For instance, Major Devereaux’s last message from the besieged Wake Island in early World War Two–“Send Us More Japs”–or that the red stripe on the blue uniform trousers of officers and NCOs (sometimes referred to as bloodstripes) commemorates the Marine blood spilled at the battle of Chapultapec in 1847.
